Sadie A. Hooker is a Retirement Plan Consultant for Nova 401(k) Associates. At Nova 401(k) Associates, she focuses on helping advisors and their clients with plan design, compliance and administrative issues. Prior to joining Nova 401(k) Associates, Sadie worked as a retirement plan sales representative at both Principal and MassMutual. In addition, Sadie worked at Madison Benefits Group, one of the largest independent employee benefit consulting firms in the southwest. At Madison Benefits Group, she focused on providing specialized consulting assistance to plan sponsors of qualified retirement plans. Before joining Madison Benefits Group, Sadie was the Regional Account Director in Texas for the Retirement and Investment Services Division of Pan-American Life, a leading international financial services and insurance company. She began her career at The 401(k) Company in Austin, a top rated retirement plan provider focusing on the $100M+ market. During her tenure at The 401(k) Company, she worked in both the Account Management and Sales Departments. She has extensive experience in plan design, compliance, implementation, and employee communication.

As a member of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA), Sadie is one of only fourteen professionals in the United States, who as of 2009, holds all four of the highest ASPPA designations: Certified Pension Consultant (CPC), Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA), Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) designations and the Qualified Plan Financial Consultant (QPFC). In addition, Sadie has completed the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) program at Rice University.

Sadie is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin where she majored in Economics with a minor in Spanish and was very active in Student Government. Prior to attending college, she served over four years of active duty during the Panama Invasion and Operation Desert Storm periods in the US Army as an Intelligence Analyst and Spanish Linguist. After leaving the Army, she worked in the Tactical Analysis Teams at the US Embassies in Costa Rica and Honduras, prior to focusing on the retirement plan industry. She is lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans with over 17 years of active and reserve military service.

As a volunteer, Sadie has served as the Fiduciary Liability and 404(c) Subject Matter Expert for the ASPPA Education & Exam Committee and as the President of the ASPPA Texas Gulf Coast Chapter. She is also actively involved with the Houston Association of Health Underwriters (HAHU) as had held several board positions.

In her spare time, Sadie is a long time member of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo’s Market Lamb and Goat Auction Committee. She is an active supporter of the Cy-Woods Athletic Booster Club and recently served a full term on the board as treasurer. She also enjoys watching professional and college sports, fixing up her beach house in Galveston, playing water volleyball and spending time with her family.
