Kim Rader is the Director of the Dallas office and Account Manager with Nova 401(k) Associates. She has been with the firm since 2004 and assists plan sponsors with daily and annual routines that arise in 401(k) Plans. Her responsibilities include plan design and implementation for 401(k) plans, consulting with employers relating to law changes, employer changes and other plan effects, reviewing existing plans and implementing conversions, annual compliance testing, preparing government filings such as the Form 5500 and advising plan distributions and loans.

In April 2008, Nova 401(k) Associates expanded into the Dallas marketplace and Kim was responsible for running the new office. Kim graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a minor in Business. In addition, she obtained certification in the Business Foundations Program

Kim’s Industry Advice
When it comes to her favorite piece of retirement advice for plans sponsors, Kim says, “Your plan document holds the key to everything you ever wanted to know about your 401(k) plan. Though we think it serves as great reading material, we understand it can be overwhelming and we’re here to help.”

Kim’s Favorite Industry Guru
Kim’s favorite industry expert is Janis Wegesin, a guru about all things relating to Form 5500. “As a practitioner myself, Wegesin’s 5500 Guide is a fabulous resource when translating DOL instructions into practical application,” explains Kim.

Kim Dishes on Dogs
Kim is a big fan of the Nova 401(k) mascot, but her heart belongs to a much smaller breed – Rallye, her Chihuahua. “Rallye is my lovable, loyal, and endearing 5-year old Chihuahua and I love coming home to her every day,” says Kim.
